To feel happy, stay happy- develop an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’!!!
It’s that time of the year when everything exudes contentment, joy and satisfaction- with Thanksgiving just happening and the locale all prepped with celebrations ahead for Christmas & New Year. This time gives us a sense of the ‘precious time gone by’- look down the lane(months that passed by, all the happenings) and for prospects ahead of us!
Simply, a lovely phase to count on all our blessings and feel the magic; which also reminds us to be thankful….
Admist all the chaos; be it our unorganised home, deadlines to catch up at work, a prolonged commitment to meet somebody, bills and maintenance to take care of. There are still somethings that over-weigh these petty issues and make life worth it, to cherish each moment and strike back with full vigour.
Constantly remind yourself of all the good things that you have to rely upon- be it family, friends, health, a good cup of coffee you had this morning, your pet, the favourite dine in of your’s that elevates your mood on the weekends, the cozy corner of your house that awaits you- your domain. Life is beautiful- it’s summation of all this little things that make it memorable….
Go easy, unwind and there shall prevail a sense of utmost pleasure from smaller things in life which are your cause to rejoice. Everyday holds something good for us- you just need to be observant; it could be an achievement or a challenge which helps you improve either way it is for betterment.

Never miss a chance to smile and spread the happiness around you, you never know if the other person is dealing with stress or having a bad day but just with your smile you can brighten up their day and on other days you could be the one who needs it from people around. That’s why it is said: smile is contagious, as you see it, you feel it! It’s so easy to do so, no rocket science or any extra efforts-just a few things to be mindful about and you are the most gracious person you can be, give it a try.

Yes, this can be equally an enjoyable experience as it could be with a good company. It just means I explore more about myself and I’m confident about my personality and truly admire it coz it is only then that others learn to value it as much as I do.
I learn about my strengths and equally embrace my short comings, also learn to deal with my thoughts. Count it as a boon, if you have that precious time as it helps to calm self and shun all the distractions for a while…
If this thought of being alone scares you, get over the blues by indulging in something that interests you, think about your hobbies and revive them, go out in the open- read a book at the park, go walking, make a to-do fun list and get going; if this still is not your thing just sit back- ditch any such plans and pamper yourself- it’s good, your body and mind will thank you- just breathe & relax. Don’t be glued to your phones- put it to rest, this phase/time is all about ‘YOU’- I, me, myself- off guard.

We all carry with us treasures of memories, memories so precious that it stays with us for lifetime. They are well secured in our heart, leaving impressions that are most difficult to fade even with the toughest of conditions faced. They revive and we keep moving ahead with them adding on more stories to share without the fear of eroding the archives. That’s the best thing, memories don’t have expiry…the soul remembers it all!
At times, least of things remind us of the good old days and takes us down the memory lane. Smell of the pickle that reminds you of your grandmom, a classic retro song that was highly appreciated by you father, movie-posters that were your outlet to explore fashion- ape the hairstyle, dressing sense. Even today when we cross way past our alma mater, we can hear the recess bell ringing- a sigh of relief and feel the vibes. How a popular food stall of our town, reminds us of our gang and ‘going Dutch’ as we had limited pocket expense allowance, the souvenir you received from your first interning company – all of this are priceless and unique, they shape you, stays with you…
